Good morning residents of the 18th Fairway, Woodlands Road & Hartsmead,
I have noticed on Facebook social media groups this morning, talk of x2 males attempting to gain entry into cars.
This seems to have happened from midnight onwards.
I have also noticed that our system shows that we have had no reports of any incidents/crimes on the 18th Fairway.
Can I please ask you to report incidents of this nature to GMP via;

From the CCTV that I have seen on social media an offence of Vehicle Interference has happened.
Vehicle interference refers to any unauthorised attempt to access, handle, or tamper with a vehicle that belongs to someone else. This can include:
• Attempting to open or enter the vehicle
• Interfering with locks, doors, windows, or other components
• Trying to remove property from inside the vehicle
• Taking actions that could damage the vehicle or compromise its safety
• Attempting to steal the vehicle itself
Can I please ask residents who have CCTV or Doorbell cameras to check their systems from 00:00hrs on the 15/01/2025.
Due to the nature of a Vehicle Interference only being an attempt, most victims are unaware that they have been targeted.
If you do discover that you have been a victim, please contact GMP via the options above to record the incident/crime.

We are currently investigating similar offences that took place on the Hartshead estate on the 13th Jan in which there have been approx. 15 offences recorded.
