Good morning residents of the 18th Fairway, Woodlands Road & Hartsmead, I have noticed on Facebook social media groups this morning, talk of x2 males attempting to gain entry into cars. This seems to have happened from midnight onwards. I have also noticed that our system shows that we have had no reports of any incidents/crimes on the 18th Fairway.
Can I please ask you to report incidents of this nature to GMP via; Phone - 101 (non-emergency line) Online - via this link at www.gmp.police.uk Report a crime | Greater Manchester Police
From the CCTV that I have seen on social media an offence of Vehicle Interference has happened.
Vehicle interference refers to any unauthorised attempt to access, handle, or tamper with a vehicle that belongs to someone else. This can include: • Attempting to open or enter the vehicle • Interfering with locks, doors, windows, or other components • Trying to remove property from inside the vehicle • Taking actions that could damage the vehicle or compromise its safety • Attempting to steal the vehicle itself
Can I please ask residents who have CCTV or Doorbell cameras to check their systems from 00:00hrs on the 15/01/2025. Due to the nature of a Vehicle Interference only being an attempt, most victims are unaware that they have been targeted.
If you do discover that you have been a victim, please contact GMP via the options above to record the incident/crime. If you do have CCTV, you can reply to this Bee in the Loop using the reply button below or email me directly at 69467@gmp.police.uk I can then send you a secure link in which you can upload the footage for our storage and viewing.
We are currently investigating similar offences that took place on the Hartshead estate on the 13th Jan in which there have been approx. 15 offences recorded.
****For residents on Woodlands Road & Hartsmead, I have sent this to you due to there being easy access off the 18th Fairway onto your street/estate, which may have been a route that the offenders may have taken?**** |
